According to the Tennessean, there's a real possibility that another team in the NHL will offer Dan Hamhuis an offer sheet. Talks between Hamhuis and GM David Poile have broken down completely and neither side have spoken to each other in a week. Some of the teams that are considering offer sheets are Carolina, Edmonton and Montreal. Source
A Montreal source has confirmed that Brian Savage will be retiring sometime this week. He intends to stay around Sudbury to be closer to his family and brother.
