Post-Lockout NHL signings in Europe for Sept 25, 2012

GERMANY

Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds and St. Louis Blues forward Chris Stewart have signed with Eispiraten Crimmitschau in Germany.  They play in the 2nd Bundesliga, which is the 2nd tier in Germany hockey.

Buffalo Sabres defenseman Christian Ehrhoff has signed with Krefeld Pinguine of the DEL.

FINLAND

Carolina Hurricanes forward Jussi Jokinen and San Jose Sharks defenseman Jason Demers has signed with Karpat.

New York Islanders forward Jesse Joensuu has signed with Assat.

Edmonton Oilers forward Lennart Petrell has signed with HIFK.

Detroit Red Wings forward Valtteri Filppula has signed with Jokerit.

Boston Bruins forward Rich Peverley has signed with JYP.

New York Islanders defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky has signed with HC Slovan Bratislava.  (Bratislava play in the KHL.)

Calgary Flames forward Jiri Hudler and Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek has signed with HC Lev Praha.  (Lev Praha play in the KHL)

CZECH REPUBLIC

Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Rostislav Klesla has signed with HC Trinec.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Michael Frolik has signed with KLH Chomutov.

St. Louis Blues defenseman Roman Polak has signed with HC Vitkovice.

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jakub Kindl has signed with HC Pardubice.

SLOVAKIA

Detroit Red Wings forward Tomas Tatar has signed with SHK 37 Piestany.

AHL

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Brett Lebda has signed with the Rockford IceHogs.

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi has signed with SC Bern.

Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin has signed with EHC Biel.

Buffalo Sabres forward Tyler Ennis and Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon have signed with Langnau.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Radek Martinek and Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference have signed with HC Ceske Budejovice.

Washington Capitals goalie Michal Neuvirth has signed with HC Sparta Praha (Prague).

Here is a list of some of the NHLers that have signed with KHL teams:

Ottawa Senators defenseman Sergei Gonchar, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nikolai Kulemin and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin have signed with Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

New Jersey Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk has signed with SKA St. Petersburg.

Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin has signed with Dynamo Moskva (Moscow).

Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk and Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov has signed with CSKA Moskva (Moscow).

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov has signed with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Free agent forward Andrei Kostitsyn has signed with Traktor Chelyabinsk.  Brochu's take:  He signed for the whole year in the KHL, this does not have an out clause in case the NHL ends its' lockout.

Pre-Lockout Signings for Sept 16, 2012

So on the day of the NHL Lockout of 2012, there were a rash of signings:

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed forward Evander Kane to a six-year, $31.5 million contract extension.

The Boston Bruins have re-signed forward Milan Lucic to a three-year, $18 million contract extension.

The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed forward Alex Burrows to a four-year, $18 million contract extension.

The Nashville Predators have re-signed defenseman Kevin Klein to a five-year, $14.5 million contract extension.

The New York Islanders have re-signed forward Matt Martin to a four-year, $4 million contract extension.

The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed defenseman Cam Fowler to a five-year, $20 million contract extension.

The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed forward Tyler Ennis to a two-year, $5.625 million contract extension.

The Phoenix Coyotes have re-signed forward Shane Doan to a four-year, $21.2 million contract.

The Washington Capitals have re-signed defenseman John Carlson to a six-year, $23.8 million contract extension.

The Dallas Stars have re-signed goalie Kari Lehtonen to a five-year, $29.5 million contract extension.

Pre-Lockout NHL Signings for Sept 14, 2012

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed their 2012 first-round draft picks, defensemen Derrick Pouliot and Olli Maatta, to three-year entry-level contracts.

The Los Angeles Kings have signed defenseman Kurtis MacDermid to a three-year, entry level contract.

The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Evan McEneny to an entry level contract.

The Nashville Predators have signed forward Colton Sissons to a three-year, entry level contract.  They have also signed defenseman Jonathon Blum to a one-year, two-way contract.

Pre-Lockout NHL Signings for Sept 13, 2012

The Detroit Red Wings have signed defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo to a two-year, $5 million contract.

The Washington Capitals have re-signed forward Troy Brouwer to a three-year, $11 million contract extension.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have re-signed goalie Ben Scrivens to a two-year contract extension.

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed forward Spencer Machacek to a new NHL contract.  Terms were not disclosed.

Bruins re-sign Seguin

The Boston Bruins have re-signed forward Tyler Seguin to a six year, $45 million contract extension.  His expected cap hit is $5.75 million.  Brochu's take:  With Taylor Hall's and Jordan Eberle's contract in mind, the Bruins got a bargain.

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defenseman Michal Rozsival to a one-year, $2 million contract.

The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Jeremy Welsh to a two-year, two-way contract.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Nikita Kucherov to a three-year, entry-level contract.  Kucherov was Tampa's 2nd round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
