According to Insider Trading on TSN, the Dallas Stars are looking to unload veterans Ray Whitney and Sergei Gonchar.
The Vancouver Canucks are interested in Colorado Avalanche forward Ryan O'Reilly. O'Reilly will be eligible to be traded near the NHL trade deadline.
The Carolina Hurricanes have made Tuomo Ruutu, Jiri Tlusty, Riley Nash, Drayson Bowman and Brett Bellemore available to all NHL teams.
The Canucks are also looking to trade forward Dale Weise.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made Keith Aulie and Tom Pyatt available.
The Phoenix Coyotes have placed defenseman Rostislav Klesla on waivers.

NHL Lockout Signings: Czech Republic
Here is a list of NHLer that have signed in the Czech Republic (HC Lev Praha plays in the KHL):
Dallas Stars forward Jaromir Jagr, Montreal Canadiens forward Tomas Plekanec, Carolina Hurricanes forward Jiri Tlusty, New Jersey Devils defenseman Marek Zidlicky and Montreal Canadiens defenseman Tomas Kaberle have signed with HC Kladno.
Edmonton Oilers defenseman Ladislav Smid and Winnipeg Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec have signed with Bili Tygri Liberec.
Edmonton Oilers forward Ales Hemsky has signed with HC Pardubice.
Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Pavel Kubina has signed with HC Vitkovice.
Calgary Flames forward Roman Cervenka has signed with HC Slavia Praha.

Hockey and NHL rumors for Dec 5, 2009
The Chicago Blackhawks have officially signed Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews to identical 5-year, $31.5 million contract extensions. Defenseman Duncan Keith has signed a 13-year, $66.5 million contract extension. Brochu's take: Keith is not a $5.5 milllion a year player. Gross overpayment IMO.
The Philadelphia Flyers have fired coach John Stevens and replaced him with Peter Laviolette. Assistant coach Jack McIlhargey was also fired. Replacing him will be Kevin McCarthy, current assistant coach of the Carolina Hurricanes. Brochu's take: This has been rumored for some time, so it's not surprising. Philly needed a shakeup in the worst way, and there have been rumours that the young players on the team had tuned out Stevens.
