NHLPA down to three candidates

The NHL Players Association has narrowed its search for a new executive director down to three finalists: former U.S. attorney Paul Kelly, NFL Players Association lawyer Richard Berthelsen, and Bill Gregson, president and chief executive of sports store chain Forzani Group. The frontrunner appears to be Kelly, who led the investigation into union founder Alan Eagleson. Source

The Vancouver Police Department has issued a press release stating they will NOT pursue legal action against Jesse Boulerice for his on-ice actions Wednesday night. Boulerice received a 25 game suspension from the league for his crosscheck on Ryan Kesler.

Coach Bob Hartley and GM Don Waddell are rumoured to be fired soon if the Thrashers don't pull out of their losing streak. The Thrashers are 0-5 and are the only NHL team to not win a game this season.

I agree with everything you say. Hockey in Atlanta is in full panic mode right now.

What people forget is that it isn't just a five-game losing streak, but a nine-game losing streak.

The only bright spot has been Kovalchuk. He's been nothing short of great this season.
