Forsberg denies return in November

According to the NHL Blog on expressen.se, Peter Forsberg arrived in the United States Friday on a week long personal trip. He is travelling with Modo's 1996-born youth team. "Foppa" will be attending two NHL games and one AHL game, and will not be meeting any NHL management. "This is a private travel and has nothing to do with my career," Forsberg said. Forsberg also took the time to dispel the rumours in the Canadian media that he will return by November 15. "That is made up information that is disseminated from media to media and is nothing that comes from myself. It does not agree entirely simply," Forsberg said, "My decision will take a while." Forsberg will return to Sweden next week and continue to practise with Modo. Source

According to David Pollak's Working the Corners Sharks Blog, scouts from Washington, Colorado, Philadelphia, Montreal and Nashville were at Saturday's game between the Sharks and Blue Jackets game. Scouts attend most games, but considering San Jose's sluggish start something could be brewing. Source

On the Hockey Night in Canada on CBC broadcast, it was reported that new netting was being tested in warmups and practises, and could be implemented very soon. The new netting for the nets will be more transparent, which will help video review of disputed goals.
