According to Marty York, the Edmonton Oilers are heavily pursuing Peter Forsberg. Edmonton joins the large list of teams vying for his services, which include the Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Colorado Avalanche and the Vancouver Canucks. Regardless, Forsberg has yet to make a decision if he wants to return to the NHL this year. Source
The Phoenix Coyotes have signed Joel Perrault to a one year contract. Source
The Vancouver Canucks have had talks with the Boston Bruins. The talks seemed to be centred on the glut of centres the Bruins have.
