Here are the latest trade rumors from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun:
Garrioch reports that "talk" is Marian Hossa has made it clear to the Atlanta Thrashers that he won't re-sign. The Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings are believed to be frontrunners. The Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, Dallas Stars and Boston Bruins have all called GM Don Waddell about Hossa.
Negotiations between the Buffalo Sabres and defenseman Brian Campbell haven't made much progress and it looks like he will be moved at the trade deadline. The San Jose Sharks, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins have all made pitches for Campbell. The believed asking price is player, prospect and first round draft pick.
Garrioch also thinks that Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Dan Boyle are being pursued by the same teams. The Camden Courier-Post is also reporting that the Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks are interested in both Boyle and Campbell. Source
Lightning GM Jay Feaster is also looking to move forwards Chris Gratton, Jan Hlavac and Vaclav Prospal.
Stay tuned for the latest Peter Forsberg update, to be posted later today.
