According to the Puck-rakers blog on the Columbus Dispatch website, sources in Moscow are indicating that the Blue Jackets were about to trade Sergei Fedorov to the Montreal Canadiens. Coach Ken Hitchcock denied the rumor, but it's clear that Fedorov will be traded sometime this season.
The blog is also reporting that New York Rangers scout Rick Kehoe has been spotted in Columbus on three occasions in recent weeks. On Thursday, Jackets’ GM Scott Howson watched the Rangers play in Minnesota. Could something be up between these two teams? Source
