According to RDS, Montreal Canadiens forward Georges Laraque expects to be traded at the trade deadline. Laraque has been a healthy scratch often this season, and is frustrated with his lack of ice time. Brochu's take: Let's be clear that Laraque has NOT requested a trade nor wants to be traded, just he wouldn't be surprised if he was.
The New York Rangers have claimed forward Mark Bell off re-entry waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke stated that defenseman Tomas Kaberle's asking price is a 1st round pick, top propect and a roster player, at minimum. Brochu's take: This was Chris Pronger's price when he came to the Ducks. But Pronger is much better than Kaberle.
