Bertuzzi to Phoenix?
There are rumours around the league that Todd Bertuzzi may be headed to Phoenix. Wayne Gretzky is a big fan of the forward, and his friend Ed Jovanovski has been trying to persuade him to consider signing with the Coyotes. It is believed that Toronto, Montreal and Philadelphia are interested in signing the UFA.
A source in Atlanta has indicated that Ilya Kovalchuk could be used as tradebait at the entry draft.

Canucks after Shanahan?
According to several sources in Vancouver, GM Dave Nonis will be trying to sign Brendan Shanahan to a deal. Shanahan earned $4 million with the Rangers this year, and he is seeking a 2 or 3 year deal.
The Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens and Washington Capitals have shown interest in UFA Scott Gomez. It is believed he is seeking a $6.5 million year contract.
The frontrunners for the GM job in Phoenix are Neil Smith, Steve Tambellini and Doug MacLean.
