Bertuzzi to Montreal?
A source in Montreal has confirmed that the Canadiens are interested in acquiring Todd Bertuzzi. Bertuzzi, who should come off the IR this week, would add toughness and grit to a soft Montreal team. The Canadiens also freed up some cap space this week by waiving Sergei Samsonov.
League sources have hinted that the salary cap will only rise by 1-2 million dollars next year. Attendance issues in Nashville, Chicago and New Jersey are some of the reasons behind this.
